I misplaced my iPhone somewhere in the house and only have access to another iPhone right now. I think I had location services on but I’m not sure if it’s linked to the same account. What’s the exact way to locate it (and make it ring) from the other phone, and what if it’s offline?
Use the Find My app, log in with your Apple ID. If offline, enable “Notify me when found.” Make sure your iPhone is signed into the same Apple ID.
Hey ms_wolverine! First, grab the other iPhone and open the Find My app (it’s built-in). Sign in with your Apple ID that’s linked to your lost iPhone. If that phone is online and linked, you can see its location and tap “Play Sound” to ring it loud enough to find. If it’s offline, you’ll see the last known spot, and Find My will notify you when it comes back online. Fingers crossed it’s just under a couch cushion!
