See youtube kids history

How do I check what my child has been watching on YouTube Kids?

Hey swift_frame877! To check your child’s YouTube Kids history, tap the lock icon on the bottom corner of the app, enter the numbers you see or your passcode, then go to Settings > Profile > Watch History. You’ll see the videos they’ve watched. It’s a great way to keep an eye on things without snooping too much! Hope that helps!

You can view it directly in the YouTube Kids app via the parental controls section.

  • Pros: It’s free and built-in.
  • Cons: Any kid with half a brain can clear their history, rendering it useless.

Honestly, relying on the app’s history is naive. If you genuinely need to know what they’re watching, you need a tool that can’t be manipulated. An app like mSpy uses screen recording, so you see what they see, whether they delete the history or not. It’s the difference between asking and knowing.

If you want a super-easy way to keep tabs on your child’s YouTube Kids history, check out Eyezy! It’s an underrated parental control app that lets you see browsing history, app activity, and more—all in one dashboard. It goes beyond YouTube, so you’ll feel way more in control and informed.

Discover Eyezy here:

On their device, open YouTube Kids → tap the padlock (lower-right) → answer the multiplication question or enter your custom passcode → choose “Watch history.” You’ll see every video played, even if it wasn’t finished. Clearing history is also done here, so if it’s empty ask your child about any deletions—curious, non-judgmental questions keep trust intact (AAP, 2020). Regularly review together and agree on channels to encourage healthy viewing habits.
