I lost my phone yesterday and I still have the IMEI from the box and my carrier account, but I’m not sure if it can actually be used to locate it or if it’s only for blocking the device. I’ve already tried Find My Device and it’s offline-can IMEI tracking be done by anyone other than the carrier/police, and what’s the right next step?
IMEI tracking usually requires cooperation from your carrier or police. Individual apps or tools outside that won’t reliably track your device.
