I’ve been trying to catch up on some old DMs from a few friends, but I keep getting nervous about the blue checkmarks popping up. I already know I can turn off read receipts in the settings, but I’m not sure if that actually stops the sender from knowing I opened the chat or if it just hides the status. Has anyone actually tested this out recently, or is there a workaround that still lets me read everything without triggering a notification?
