The easiest, non-destructive trick is to check your phone carrier’s website (like Verizon, AT&T, etc.). Log into your account, and you should find a detailed call history there!
Restoring from an old iCloud backup can work, but it’s the nuclear option—it erases everything new on your phone since the backup was made.
