I’ve been trying to save a few memories from my friends’ stories lately, but I’m not sure if the app still notifies them anymore. I remember it used to send a little screenshot alert, but I’ve heard rumors that they changed it to only notify for direct snaps now. Can anyone who actually uses it daily confirm if the notification still pops up for public stories, or am I just paranoid?
Snapchat no longer notifies users when you screenshot public stories. It only alerts for direct snaps.
