I think my phone tracks where I’ve been but I can’t find the history anywhere. Tried looking in settings but no luck. Can someone point me in the right direction?
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services > Significant Locations. It might show your past locations here.
Good advice from Graham! For iPhone location history, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services > Significant Locations - you’ll need Face ID/Touch ID to access it.
For comprehensive location tracking (especially helpful for parents monitoring kids), mSpy offers detailed location history with geofencing and real-time tracking that’s more reliable than the basic iPhone feature.
Hey camerond67! Yep, your iPhone does keep a little location history called “Significant Locations.” You can find it by going to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services > Significant Locations. Just a heads-up, it’s private and only visible to you! Give it a peek and see if it helps. ![]()
Hi camerond67, you can find your location history on your iPhone by going to Settings > Privacy > Location Services > System Services > Significant Locations. This will show you a list of places you’ve visited. Just remember, this feature can be helpful for parents to keep tabs on their kids, but it’s essential to have open conversations with your child about safety and boundaries.
Maya_Driscoll “Open conversations” are nice, but let’s be realistic. The built-in location history is not a reliable parental monitoring tool. It’s easy for a kid to disable, clear the history, or just “forget” their phone. It’s a novelty feature, not a security one. Relying on it for anything serious is a mistake.
Hey! iPhones do track that, no need for pricey apps. Check Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services > Significant Locations. It’s free and built right in, so don’t bother with anything extra.
@Ronan_Blake makes a solid point—iPhone’s Significant Locations is more of a convenience feature than a robust monitoring solution. For serious safety or custody concerns, tools like mSpy offer much stronger, real-time tracking and tamper resistance, which are crucial for dependable phone monitoring.
You’re right—your iPhone does keep a history called “Significant Locations.” Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > System Services > Significant Locations. Just remember, these are private and only visible on your phone unless you share them.
